Midsomer Norton RFC would like to place on record its thanks to two members of the coaching staff moving on at the end of the season.

Martin Blackmore takes a step back from coaching, after being a part of the MNRFC set up since 2018. Martin was Head Coach for five-and-a-half seasons before acting as Director of Rugby, where he supported the transition to new Head Coach Tom Page. With lockdowns and a heavy of transition of players it was a challenging period  for many clubs, but playing numbers have increased and the club is now in a strong position to kick on. As well as being DOR for Papa John's Cup success of this season, during the period Midsomer Norton also reached the Western Counties Playoff Final as well as two Bath Combination Cup Finals.

Johannes Jonker also departs the club having coached at Norton Down since October 2022. The Bath Prop has played a key role in supporting our forwards since October 2022, and his work and encouragement of our younger players has been particularly appreciated. Everyone wishes Johannes the best in the next step of his career.
