Midsomer Norton 78-10 Chew Valley II
Norton picked up the maximum points for the second game in a row with a 12-try victory against Chew Valley II.

Last season's top-try scorer Kieron Humphries was responsible for 5 of those, whilst Schuster and Jeffery both got brazcs. Nine conversions from Rideout, as well as tries from Viol, Button, and Anderson secured an emphatic scoreline in our first home game since May. Rideout’s boot added 9 conversions.

Credit goes to the away side who battled strongly throughout - taking the lead early on - with Daly, their number 8, particularly impressing.

Norton know they will need to continue this form next week, when they head to Avon - who have also picked up maximum points from their opening two games, and only sit below Norton on points difference.

MOTM: Impossible to look past 5-try kieron Humphries and his dazzling runs

Chew Valley III 15-21 Midsomer Norton II
The Second XV were on the road again this week, but bounced back from last week;s disappointment with a hard fought victory.

Norton dominated the early stages but squandered a couple of golden opportunities deep into Chew territory - allowing home side capitalise and take a 5-0 lead midway through the first half. However fullback George Fuller soon hit back and converted both his and Nath Fear's tries to give Norton a lead at the break (5-14).

However, if it seemed that Norton would likely pull away, Chew had other ideas. The deficit was reduced when Chew drove a maul over the line, and scored another to take a single point lead whilst Norton's ill-discipline saw them reduced to 13 men.

Norton continued to fight and were able to snatch victory late on when Bridges ran in from 22m out with just minutes to spare. Fuller once again converted. Next up for the 2s, they host Old Sulians

MOTM: Dylan Willoughby put in another impressive performance.

Midsomer Norton III HWO Imperial II
No game for the Thirds as Imperial were unable to raise a side. With plenty of spare weeks to come, we were quite happy to rearrange it - however the powers that be at South West Rugby have said no to getting a game of rugby on, so we reluctantly pick up the five points
