Midsomer Norton RFC are deeply sadenned to inform members of the loss of Simon Mollison, who passed away after a long and brave battle with illness on the 4th July 2024. Simon was made a Life Member of the club in 2021 in recognition of his immense impact on MNRFC.
Simon was a kind and generous man who worked tirelessly for the club, particularly with the Junior section. He fulfilled numerous roles over many decades - too many to comprehensively list here - from the tough task coaching over 30 kids at once in the 80s, to Junior treasurer, to selling kit in the clubhouse in 2010s.
Despite not being able to attend as regularly in recently times, Simon always kept a keen interest in the club and expressed his pride in the amount of products from the Junior Section who progressed to represent the Senior section.
His legacy remains and he will be missed by all who knew him. The whole club extends its condolences to his wife Jenny, as well as Duncan, Charlotte, Ian and family.
