Midsomer Norton RFC

46 - 8

(HT 0-0)

Chipping Sodbury RFC
It was a good weekend for the First XV who bounced back from a tight opening day defeat with a resounding 48-6 win against a good Chipping Sodbury side.

Norton impressed in front of a bumper crowd, edging the first half before pulling away in the second - combining a strong defensive effort from the whole side with a series of well worked tries. This was typified by a late score from Schuster who finished a flowing move started by captain Tom Fear after great work from Sam Church and Scott Anderson. Special mention should go to Alfie Gregory and Henry Mclachlan who performed impressively in the new-look front row, as well as replacement Joe Button.
