At Norton Down, the home side ran out easy winners against a disorganised Spartans side.
After fantastic and well fought contests in recent weeks against teams such as Matson, Clevedon and Winscombe, the home supporters this week watched Norton dominate against a Spatans side who were ill-disciplined and tested the patience and restraint of both the home side and the officials throughout the match after turning up late and pushing back the kickoff to 3.05 pm. The referee giving Norton the option to close the game on 60 minutes as it was such a mismatch, to which they graciously agreed.
In-form scrum-half Connor Shuster emphatically ran in four tries during the first 15 minutes. Schuster would eventually finish with a remarkable six tries for the afternoon.
Joining him on the scoresheet was Keiran Beeho - who added a brace of tries – as well as hooker Matt Edgell, veteran Alex Mitchard and Harry Smith - who also kicked brilliantly all afternoon to add 8 conversions. The game, which kicked off late, ended after just 60 minutes.
Credit goes to the home side and the match officials for approaching the game professionally despite the circumstances.
