Midsomer Norton II 48-21 Old Sulians
It was a Midsomer Knight’s dream at Norton Down as the 2s first home game of the season saw them able to pick their strongest side so far, and pull off a comprehensive victory over Old Sulians.
Norton raced into an early lead with their number 10 Sam Knight scoring two, and Penney adding another on his comeback from injury. Old Sulians scored to reduce the deficit Knight completed his first ever hattrick before the interval (22-7)
Sam Knight scoring a fourth was so unbelievable that it woke Old Sulians from their slumber and a flurry of points reduced the home side’s lead to just six points. Just as supporters began to get nervy, the tide was stemmed as Cooper ‘Cooper George’ George ran in from twenty metres.
With fitness beginning to tell, Sam’s jealous brother Joe Knight then scored a couple of late tries of his own to secure victory. Fuller picked up four conversions.
